Before beginning her career, Grace, a twenty-five year old recent graduate, plans an eight week holiday to England where she has a vague plan to begin in Cornwall. Once there, she befriends the innkeepers of the B&B, a lesbian couple, who are in the midst of tragedy. While sitting in the village one night, she meets an attractive man who invites her for a drink in the pub, but she turns him down. She feels conflicted between the need to be safe while traveling alone versus taking risks to meet people. As a result, she berates herself for not saying yes while in a public place, but is presented with a second chance when she meets him again in an unexpected way.

As an avid reader, I am always on the hunt for good books. I typically read mysteries, so reading this book was a departure from my favorite genre for me. And I am so glad that I took a break from mysteries to read "To Cornwall, with Love"!What a beautiful book!! Chance wrote her characters in such a relatable way that whenever I had to put the book down I could not wait for the next opportunity to read more and see what was going on in their lives. And the descriptions of the setting made me want to travel to Cornwall!
As someone who has worked around death, dying, and grief as a health professional, I appreciate the honest and not overly dramatized way that she covered the topics in this book.
I highly recommend you read this book!! I hope to read more by Laura W. Chance in the future. She is an author to watch!

What a delightful book! I was so drawn in to the characters, and the detailed descriptions of the small towns that I did not want to put this book down! What a beautiful adventure!
First, you must understand that I am not a reader.....but this book had me captured. I couldn't put it down and just had to find out what happened next. I really enjoyed it and hope to see more books by this author in the future. Simply a MUST READ....

My review is not unbiased either. I have been reading Laura W. Chance's writing for 15 years. I was honored when she asked me to read the draft of her first book, and I was captivated once I began reading this delightful romance novel in the style of Rosamunde Pilcher. The story centers around the deep connections of both friends and lovers and is set in the beautiful coastal regions of southwestern England. The characters are well-developed and intriguing. I certainly hope to read more about them in future stories. Enjoy!
An easy read, and hard to put down, To Cornwall with Love is an unexpected captivating book, which transported me to a place I have always dreamed of visiting. The characters, relationships and situations are honest and realistic and the setting, Cornwall, England is now a notch higher on my bucket list of places to travel. I'm looking forward to any future books by this author.
